You have heard us talk about wanting to create ways for you to serve our community and man have we been blessed with some great partnerships to help you do so.
This past month we introduced you to the CarePortal. This is a resource we now have that takes direct requests from social workers of some needs that a foster child has and sends it straight to us so we can help meet the need. Not only do we get to meet the physical need but when we deliver the needed items we have the opportunity to meet the family where they are and offer to pray with and for them through this season of unknown. Be sure you have the Compass App downloaded and that you have your notifications on so when a request comes through you can join us in meeting the need.
Another opportunity we had this past month was to partner with Sweetser Wesleyan Church in helping to provide backpacks full of school supplies for kiddos that may need them. Over 100 students were served and you all were a part of it by donating the needed items. Thanks for helping us help people!
Along with those things over the course of this summer we:
- partnered with the YMCA to host a sand volleyball league.
- Established a partnership with Royal Family Kids and Seth & Joy Elzinga to establish a RFK camp and mentoring program right here in Grant County.
- Led the Sprititual Formation for Camp Better. Partnering with Compete Training Academy (CTA) we led 11 young men through a week long discipleship and biblical growth track.
