What a great start to third "season" of Compass Ministries! We have been blessed to see God work in and through each of our four areas of ministry. Our hope in offering this newsletter is to not only highlight and provide insight on what is happening in all four areas of Compass Ministries but also to encourage you in what God is doing in the lives of so many young adults.

As the Executive Director I am so thankful and encouraged by how young adults and families are taking serious the call to be the Church and not just go to church. We have over 25 adults who have commited to mentoring a college student throughout the year. We have partnered with Care Portal to help provide needs for children within the DHS system. We have established a partnership with Royal Family Kids Camp as they seek to minister and serve kids in foster care. We are prepaing to host our 3rd annual Compass Girls Conference for high school girls. We kicked off Compass Worship with a welcome back bbq filled with great food, sand volleyball, pickleball, cornhole and mini golf where nearly 300 students and adults worshipped with us and stayed to build more connection.

As you read through more details of those and other events I hope you will be encouraged and inspired to be the Church wherever you are so that we can continue to expand His Kingdom for His glory.

If you are interested in partnering with Compass here are a few ways you can do so.

  • We need people to pray daily for us, praying that we continue to follow where God is leading and stay obedient to the call He put on our hearts to meet people where they are on their spiritual journey and point them to True North, Jesus Christ.
  • We need people to volunteer to be a part of our events. To engage with students and serve the community through various events and partnerships.
  • We also need people to consider partnering with us financially. We understand that a large part of the demographic that we have been called to serve isn't in the most financially fluid season of life so we are trusting that as parents, grandparents, and community members learn more about our purpose and vision they would desire to help continue to move our mission forward.

We are so thankful for the way God has provided people, resources, and opportunities for us to serve, equip and empower so many college students and families and we cannot wait to celebrate with you how He provides in the years to come.
